Silk Almond Coconut Blend

Silk(R) Almond Coconut Blends

We regularly drink Silk Almond Milk. We recently tried this new Almond Coconut blend. My daughter is a vegetarian and drinks Almond milk on a regular basis. She likes all flavors and loved this as well. She drinks it straight, in coffee, and in a smoothie. Silk almond milk is smooth and silky with a delicious almond taste. This blend had a nice blend of almond and coconut. The fact that the unsweetened is only 35 calories and the sweetened is only 50 calories is a plus.
If you are looking for a healthy replacement for cows milk or just want a nice treat or addition to your coffee or smoothies; give this a try.

eSalon

eSalon

I was skeptical at first to order hair color online. I mean who ever heard of that? The website was set up well and very user friendly. First, I had to answer some questions about my hair and what actually I wanted to have done. I was able to pick a color(with the possibility it would be changed to better match my wants and needs by the hair colorist). Then I was also able to send a picture of my head to help the colorist make a better match. You can even pick out how often you want to color your hair and a new color kit can be sent regularly. You can review your wants and needs on hair color whenever you need to and change your orders at any time.
When I received my box, it was packed neatly and came with hair color and shampoo and conditioner samples and instructions. The color had been changed to better match my requests. The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to color my hair with ease. The products did not have the usual nasty smell of hair color in a salon and my hair felt silky soft afterwards. The product blended well with my hair color and looked very natural to my hair color(what I wanted). My only disappointment was it did not color all my gray(which isn't much).
If I could get this to color my gray I would definitely consider ordering on a regular basis. This is perfect for busy people who don't have time to go to a salon and great for those who also don't want to pay the salon price for coloring.
eSalon also has shampoo, conditioner and lots of other products to compliment their coloring kits.

    Luvsome

    LUVSOME(TM)

My wonderful dog was able to try this the Natural Dry Luvsome Dogfood and a couple of the wet foods. She would not eat the wet food, but I don't blame it on the product; my dog is very picky and only loves her dry food or the occasional people food that is dropped from my sons plate.
In saying that, she loved the dry dog food. I thought the bites where just the right size for her small mouth and the texture felt consistent with other dog foods. The fact that is was made from natural ingredients was just icing on the cake. I felt it was very affordable as well.  Would probably buy this product again.

*Received coupons for free dry and wet Luvsome dogfood from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review.

    Venus Gillette and Olay

    Gillette(R) Venus

My 14 year old tried this one out. This was a Gillette Venus razor with 5 blades and olay soap on both sides of the shaver. My daughter said the design of the razor had a comfortable and manageable grip. The style and colors were pleasing to the eye. Having 5 blades was efficient; no stray hairs were missed. My daughter said the soap made her legs softer and the razor glided easier over her legs. What she didn't like was once the soap got wet, it started falling off the razor, made a mess all over the shower shelves. So essentially the olay soap idea was really only obtainable one time...after that it fell off. She decided you would stick with a plain Gillette venus razor. Good try Gillette, but not a satisfactory product or worth the money.

    Fuel Masters Challenge at Kroger

    Kroger Fuel Masters Challenge

We shop at Kroger weekly and we also get our gas here. We have been a part of the fuel program for awhile now. When we purchase anything from Kroger we get a fuel point for each dollar spent....wish we cash in later at the Kroger gas pump. I know we have saved a lot of money over the past several years with this program. All you need is a Kroger reward card.
Through July 27 you can earn 2x the fuel points and sometimes they even offer 3x or 4x the fuel points. With gas prices rising, Kroger Fuel point program is an obvious choice for this family and we will continue to use it in the future.

    Tony's Pizzeria Style Pizza

I have tried Tony's pizza and have never been overly impressed with it. Yet again, Tony's Pizzeria Style Pizza was not that appealing. The word Pizzeria Style to me means that it would tasted like your local pizza hangout ;wherever you family likes to return to time and again. Tony's Pizzeria Style Pizza on the other hand was just another subpar frozen pizza. Though I won't mention a specific brand, there are so many other brands I would eat over this one. Not a winner for me or my family.

    Private Selection Jar Desserts

First of all, I love that this dessert comes in a jar. I am what you would call a jaracholic, I used the leftover jar to hold some hair pins in my bathroom. I tried the Tiramasu dessert. When I got it from Kroger it was frozen; so I was skeptical about how good it would taste when it thawed. It was delicious. In my opinion Tiramasu is a hard taste to pull off. Lets just say....my husband only got one bite. The dessert was nice and creamy and tasted gourmet. Definitely gonna try some of the other flavors.

    Wonka Peel-a-Pop

This one definitely met with mixed reviews in my family. The Wonka Peel-a-Pop is basically a novelty ice cream treat. It looks and peels like a real banana. You can eat the peel as well. It comes in vanilla-grape and vanilla-banana.
We tried the vanilla-banana. All of my kids loved it and thought its was awesome that they could actually peel it and eat the whole thing.
I loved the fact that this was a smaller ice cream treat and that it was fun to eat. I did not like the edible peel. It was the consistency of firm jello...I personally felt like I was actually eating a banana peel. I would probably only buy this in the future if it was on sale or I had another significant coupon for it.

    Silk Almondmilk Protein+Fiber

My daughter is a vegetarian and loves to drink Almond milk. We usually purchase Almond Breeze or Silk Almondmilk, depending which is on sale. Since she is a vegetarian and doesn't have a large selection of veggies and fruits that she really likes; I was excited to see that Silk came out with an almond milk that added more protein and fiber. Each serving contains 5g of protein, 5g of fiber and 100 calories or less. Silk Almondmilk Protein+Fiber also provides 50% more calcium than dairy milk. It comes in original and vanilla flavor.
We tried the vanilla flavor, and my daughter absolutely loved it. I will definitely be putting this almond milk on my shopping list from now on.

Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies

I tried Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies. Each soft smooth gummy contains biotin; which has been proven to be great for hair, skin and nails. The gummy itself was soft and smooth with a strawberry flavor(even better than those fruit gummies my kids like). They were easy to chew and I only had to take 2 a day which I did in the morning for a month. I started to see the first results to my hair in a few weeks. My hair was softer, stronger and started to grow quicker than usual(in fact I need a haircut already). My skin does seem softer and smoother. The only thing that has not made a difference is in my nails. My nails grow pretty quick already so I don't see any difference in that respect. I tend to have weak, pliable nails that peel. I have not seen an improvement in taking the gummies; in fact they seem to be peeling more; although I am not 100% sure that is related to gummies. Personally, although I like the soft hair and skin, I do not like the results with my nails; so I will probably not continue to use this product.

    Keebler Simply Made

We love cookies around here; so my family was very excited to try Keebler's Simply Made Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies. They went pretty fast. I loved the fact that they were made with simple ingredients which included wheat flour.  The texture was perfect, not too hard and not too soft(kind of a melt in your mouth). The packaging was inviting but as usual the pull top opening would not stay sealed; especially after several uses.
Keebler cookies are well known and loved by my family and the Simply Mades are now a part of our favorite Keebler cookies.

    Kroger Simple Truth

If you have seen my previous posts, you know I am an avid Kroger shopper. I was recently able to review some of their Simple Truth products.
Simple Truth Granola Cereal - I tried the Mixed Berry. It was delicious and filling. The granola was crunchy and sweet. The berrys were just the right size and very tasty.
Simple Truth Flavored Electrolyte Water - I tried the Blueberry Blackberry flavor. This is the first time I tried flavored water that wasn't carbonated; I was not impressed. It tasted like watered down blueberry blackberry juice. Not sure what I was expecting, but wasn't this. Maybe I just like my water plain.
Simple Truth Organic Bagged Popcorn - This was absolutely delicious. I usually don't like bagged popcorn, because it is usually stale. This was far from that, delicious and tender with just enough salt. The fact that it was organic was just icing on the cake.

Kroger's Simple Truth products are great natural foods at an affordable price. Because our family likes to eat naturally and save money; Simple Truth is the way for us.

    Jolly VoxBox

My Jolly VoxBox from Influester arrived and I most definitely enjoyed the contents.
Puffs Ultra Soft and Strong to Go Tissue Pack
NYC New York Color HD color trio eye shadow
Rimmel London new Show Off Lip Lacquer
    Skinny Cow Candy
    Ducklings Mini Rolls

First, Puffs Tissues($.49 single) were exactly what I expected and have come to know from my already favorite brand of tissues. They were soft and thick, and I love the to go package which fits nicely in a purse or bag.

Next, NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow($2.99) was fun to try. I haven't worn eye shadow in years, but recently picked it up again in the last 2 months. I loved that it came with a plastic insert cover that told me which area to use it in: highlighter, all over lid, and crease. My color was "Long Beach Sands". Neutrals are most definitely my color of choice. It went on smoothly and was very lightweight and easy to use.

Next, Rimmel London  Show Off  Lip Lacquer($5.49-$5.99) was a nice lipstick that went on with a pull out applicator. It went on smooth and glossy like a lip gloss, but ended up with texture and look of a lipstick. The color I tested was "Celestial", a little too pink for my taste but they have over 14 shades; so I am sure I could find one that suited me better. My daughter snatched this one up right away and really likes it.

Next, Nestle Skinny Cow Candy($3.99/box, $1.09 single) was my absolute favorite. I have never tried this brand before so I was skeptical about how well it would taste since it is only 130 calories each. I tried Divine Filled Chocolate Candies with a peanut butter cream covered in chocolate. It was delicious; I had to hide the box so I wouldn't  keep eating them, and so no one else would eat them. They are a perfect treat at only 130 calories. These are definitely going on my grocery list.

Next, Ducklings Mini Roll($2-$3) was given to my Daughter to try. She loved the tie-dye print and likes to make things out of duct tape.

    Airborne Immune Support Supplement

I have tried Airborne products before with mixed results. This product was no different for me. I tried 21 gummie immune support supplements over a period of 7 days. 1 serving is equal to 3 gummies and an adult can take up to 9 gummies in a day(which seem like a lot to me. Each serving has 1,000 mg of vitamin c, with vitamins c and e, selenium and 35 mg of herbal blend(includes Echinacea and ginger). Since these are gummies don't  forget the 9 grams of sugar per serving.

The picture of the guy holding the gummie above is approximately the size of each gummie(kind of reminded me of those orange slice candies I ate as a kid). I did not like having to chew 3 of these gummies just to get one serving, and the were extremely chewy(which might be the reason you have to be over 12 to take them). After finally being  able to chew them down small enough to swallow them; I realized they had a bad after taste.
On a positive note, winter is always a blahhhh time of year for me. After a few days of taking them; I did feel like I had way for energy especially for this time of year(probably the 1,000 grams of vitamin c). These would be great for those with low energy level , low immune system or lack of vitamin C. But would I take them again? Well, even though I had more energy, the taste and amount outweigh that. So, No, I probably would not bother with these supplements again. But others might find them as just the thing they are looking for!
