Kroger Simple Truth

If you have seen my previous posts, you know I am an avid Kroger shopper. I was recently able to review some of their Simple Truth products.
Simple Truth Granola Cereal - I tried the Mixed Berry. It was delicious and filling. The granola was crunchy and sweet. The berrys were just the right size and very tasty.
Simple Truth Flavored Electrolyte Water - I tried the Blueberry Blackberry flavor. This is the first time I tried flavored water that wasn't carbonated; I was not impressed. It tasted like watered down blueberry blackberry juice. Not sure what I was expecting, but wasn't this. Maybe I just like my water plain.
Simple Truth Organic Bagged Popcorn - This was absolutely delicious. I usually don't like bagged popcorn, because it is usually stale. This was far from that, delicious and tender with just enough salt. The fact that it was organic was just icing on the cake.

Kroger's Simple Truth products are great natural foods at an affordable price. Because our family likes to eat naturally and save money; Simple Truth is the way for us.

Jolly VoxBox

My Jolly VoxBox from Influester arrived and I most definitely enjoyed the contents.
Puffs Ultra Soft and Strong to Go Tissue Pack
NYC New York Color HD color trio eye shadow
Rimmel London new Show Off Lip Lacquer
Skinny Cow Candy
Ducklings Mini Rolls

First, Puffs Tissues($.49 single) were exactly what I expected and have come to know from my already favorite brand of tissues. They were soft and thick, and I love the to go package which fits nicely in a purse or bag.

Next, NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow($2.99) was fun to try. I haven't worn eye shadow in years, but recently picked it up again in the last 2 months. I loved that it came with a plastic insert cover that told me which area to use it in: highlighter, all over lid, and crease. My color was "Long Beach Sands". Neutrals are most definitely my color of choice. It went on smoothly and was very lightweight and easy to use.

Next, Rimmel London  Show Off  Lip Lacquer($5.49-$5.99) was a nice lipstick that went on with a pull out applicator. It went on smooth and glossy like a lip gloss, but ended up with texture and look of a lipstick. The color I tested was "Celestial", a little too pink for my taste but they have over 14 shades; so I am sure I could find one that suited me better. My daughter snatched this one up right away and really likes it.

Next, Nestle Skinny Cow Candy($3.99/box, $1.09 single) was my absolute favorite. I have never tried this brand before so I was skeptical about how well it would taste since it is only 130 calories each. I tried Divine Filled Chocolate Candies with a peanut butter cream covered in chocolate. It was delicious; I had to hide the box so I wouldn't  keep eating them, and so no one else would eat them. They are a perfect treat at only 130 calories. These are definitely going on my grocery list.

Next, Ducklings Mini Roll($2-$3) was given to my Daughter to try. She loved the tie-dye print and likes to make things out of duct tape.

Airborne Immune Support Supplement

I have tried Airborne products before with mixed results. This product was no different for me. I tried 21 gummie immune support supplements over a period of 7 days. 1 serving is equal to 3 gummies and an adult can take up to 9 gummies in a day(which seem like a lot to me. Each serving has 1,000 mg of vitamin c, with vitamins c and e, selenium and 35 mg of herbal blend(includes Echinacea and ginger). Since these are gummies don't  forget the 9 grams of sugar per serving.

The picture of the guy holding the gummie above is approximately the size of each gummie(kind of reminded me of those orange slice candies I ate as a kid). I did not like having to chew 3 of these gummies just to get one serving, and the were extremely chewy(which might be the reason you have to be over 12 to take them). After finally being  able to chew them down small enough to swallow them; I realized they had a bad after taste.
On a positive note, winter is always a blahhhh time of year for me. After a few days of taking them; I did feel like I had way for energy especially for this time of year(probably the 1,000 grams of vitamin c). These would be great for those with low energy level , low immune system or lack of vitamin C. But would I take them again? Well, even though I had more energy, the taste and amount outweigh that. So, No, I probably would not bother with these supplements again. But others might find them as just the thing they are looking for!
